Ilsingeton is located on the edge of Dartmoor, southwest of Exeter in Devonshire.  It is where Peter Norrish grew up and lived before he emigrated to Cincinnati, Ohio in the 1870s with his wife and children.  Peter's mother, Susan Campion Norrish, is buried just south of the main entrance to St. Michael's Church where Peter was baptized.   St. Michael's Church The Carpenter Arms Pub
